The I-MED Network was formed in July 2000 with the aim of building the world’s most respected and successful diagnostic imaging network through the acquisition and growth of leading diagnostic imaging businesses (known as practice groups) and their locally owned clinics. In October 2004, the I-MED Network merged its practice group network with MIA Group Limited creating the world's largest diagnostic imaging network.
Across Australia and the United Kingdom the I-MED Network currently comprises in excess of 30 practice groups (including local clinic trading names and joint ventures), and through those operates over 240 diagnostic imaging clinics.
Today, the I-MED Network is a privately owned company.
The scope and scale of the I-MED Network enables us to deliver excellence in diagnostic imaging to referrers and their patients by giving us access to the latest medical technology as well as the shared knowledge of over 350 radiologists, nuclear physicians, radiation oncologists and other medical specialists. And while we may be the largest diagnostic imaging network in Australia, we believe in local management which enables each of our local practice groups to deliver the most effective tailored health services to their local communities while drawing on the strength of our broader network.
