Our Services
Diagnostic imaging represents one of the most rapidly growing areas of health care in Australia. The use of diagnostic imaging to identify and treat illness and disease through early detection has emerged as one of modern medicine’s most powerful developments and is increasingly recognised for its cost-effective contribution to health care. This has resulted in improved patient outcomes with early diagnosis and in some cases the avoidance of unnecessary invasive surgery.
As the largest diagnostic imaging network in Australia, I-MED annually performs 4.5 million exams, which is approximately 1/3 of all private imaging in the country. We are an industry leader and it’s our ongoing goal to deliver superior and innovative imaging services to our referring doctors and their patients, while creating sustainable value for all our employees and radiologists.
For patients this means ensuring that you are treated by caring and professional staff. We understand that getting an x-ray or other scan can be a daunting experience. Our doctors and staff are committed to providing the most accurate diagnosis possible in a caring and sensitive environment focused on something increasingly ignored these days – your comfort.
Referrers can be assured that we will respond rapidly to your needs with fast turnaround of reports and priority service for your urgent patients. Because of our strength and size we have the latest imaging technology across all modalities optimising diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. We are committed to understanding the needs of our patients and referring doctors so that we continually provide an exemplary caring and professional service that exceeds expectations.
Commitment to regional and rural Australia
An entire division of I-MED is focused on and dedicated to working in rural and regional centres throughout Australia and bringing the benefits of the wider I-MED Network to them.
This enables us to provide local communities with high-end equipment for high quality diagnostic imaging services in an environment where radiologists are able to operate autonomously both professionally and clinically.
Our Regional Imaging practice group in Gippsland has one of only two mobile MRI units in Australia as part of a three-year pilot program. The other unit is also operated by I-MED in Queensland.
