Small enough to care
Clinical independence and local management
The I-MED Network remains committed to local management especially from a medical perspective. Each local area has a Clinical Management Committee that is made up of radiologists who determine all local clinical issues. From a commercial perspective, local areas are governed by local Boards. These Boards are made up of both senior commercial managers and local radiologists. The Chairman of a Board is always a radiologist.
Commitment to regional and rural Australia
An entire division of I-MED is focused on and dedicated to working in rural and regional centres throughout Australia, and bringing the benefits of the wider I-MED Network to them. This enables us to provide local communities with high-end equipment for high quality diagnostic imaging services in an environment where radiologists are able to operate autonomously both professionally and clinically. For example, our Regional Imaging practice group in Gippsland has recently launched a new mobile MRI unit as part of a three-year pilot project, one of only two mobile MRI units in Australia, both of which are operated by the I-MED Network. We also provide the only diagnostic mammography services in Tasmania.
Commitment to the practice of quality medicine
The I-MED Network is committed to quality across the entire network, not only in our clinical work but in every aspect of our operations – from our highly qualified radiologists and technical staff, to our extremely competent clerical and corporate staff, to the provision of the best facilities and equipment for our clinics. We also work hard to ensure that our commitment to quality medicine is not only experienced by our referrers and their patients, but also by the industry regulators and all our business partners.
Commitment to a positive environment for our staff
At the I-MED Network we understand that it is each and every individual that helps make our goal of staying the leader in diagnostic imaging possible. That’s why we are committed to finding ways to improve our working environment, providing flexibility in working arrangements, and continually striving to improve the way we support and develop each individual staff member. We want our staff to be successful and happy working at I-MED . We aim to achieve this through good performance management systems, personalised development opportunities and supporting an appropriate balance between lifestyle, family and work. Underpinning all of this is I-MED ’s commitment to embedding a common set of values to help create a positive culture. These values are Integrity, Mutual Respect, Excellence and Development.
