Meet Our People
I-MED Network clinics across Australia have a long and proud history of meeting the full diagnostic imaging needs of their local communities. Our greatest strength is the talented and caring 3,900 staff members who are committed to protecting and enhancing our patient’s health, as well as the practice of quality medicine.
Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians
Our team of 300 Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians are some of the most respected and experienced diagnostic imaging specialists in the country. Their expertise covers all sub-specialties of radiology such as breast imaging, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal imaging, cardiac imaging and paediatric (children’s) imaging.
Our practices are led by our radiologists who control the day-to-day affairs of their clinics and clinical decision-making to ensure that service delivery is tailored to the needs of each community. With access to state-of-the-art technology and equipment, our team of highly skilled radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians are at the forefront of technological advances.
A Radiologist is a medical specialist who has completed at least 12 years of training including dedicated post medical school training in diagnostic radiology. All Australian radiologists are credentialed by The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. They are responsible for interpreting diagnostic images of patients for medical diagnostic purposes
Many I-MED radiologists have also completed additional specialist fellowship training in their chosen areas of interest and are recognised locally, nationally and internationally as experts in their chosen field. Our radiologists are all involved in continuing medical education and many have been invited to lecture at local, national and international medical conferences.
Our nuclear medicine physicians are also highly trained specialist doctors. Nuclear medicine is an advanced specialty which also requires at least 12 years of training including dedicated post medical school training in Nuclear Medicine. All Australian nuclear physicians are credentialed by The Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
For both our radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, our commitment to information sharing, maintaining the latest imaging equipment and further training through our Fellowship Program ensures they stay ahead of their field.
